I am a professional artist and Masters graduate from The Slade School of Fine Art with over 20 years of teaching experience in schools, colleges and universities from key stage 3 to undergraduate level Art. I am primarily a printmaker and painter but I am also a very experienced in teaching drawing and photography.

 

I have 6 years experience as an Art Examiner for Cambridge Assessment and have worked within the specifications for AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I have been a Head of Art, Media and Photography during my teaching career and a Senior Tutor for post 16 students. For the past 8 years I have helped art foundation students prepare portfolios for application to the best art colleges in the UK including UAL, Goldsmiths, Falmouth and Glasgow School of Art and my success rate is excellent.

I offer GCSE, A Level and Foundation portfolio classes designed to improve your art portfolio and help you achieve better grades or apply for your next level of art training. I can help with UCAS applications from statement writing to portfolio and essay requests and interview techniques. I have a clear understanding of what UK art colleges are looking for in their applicants so I can review portfolios and make suggestions based on their specific requirements.

I also offer beginner, intermediate or professional art classes in drawing, painting and printmaking in one or two hour sessions. Whatever your needs I can tailor my classes to your specific preferences. I am happy to teach 1:1 or in small groups which will be taught in person from my own studio in Soham, Cambridgeshire. I also offer online classes for those further afield.
